Limited Edition Fine Art Prints

Living-Room-Mockup---Sandstone

In this digital age we are accustomed to viewing photographs on computer screens, tablets, and phones. However, the true purpose and destination for my photographs is the photographic print. Digital screens cannot compare to the detail and awe of a large format fine art print, where you can get lost exploring and re-exploring a scene, discovering the subtle nuances of the scene over and over again. Photographs in the digital realm lend themselves to short-term consumption, while those printed and displayed in physical reality are appreciated and savored for much longer. All of the images seen in my Landscapes collection are available as limited edition fine art photographic prints.

Printing photographs is complicated, and requires a lifetime worth of training and experience. While I endeavor to photograph striking images with technical and artistic skill, I cannot also pursue the skills in printing that would show my work in the most meaningful way. I entrust this task to my professional printing lab, one of the finest in the country. These printers are experts in their craft and bring the digital photograph into the physical realm with great skill, reliably producing museum exhibition quality work.

The printing process is a collaborative one, with coordination, conversation, and multiple proofs required to match the print to my final vision. I personally inspect each image before signing and numbering the print before shipping the art with a letter of authenticity. Available sizes for a given image are highly dependent on the individual image, as I refuse to oversize my work at the cost of image quality and detail.

Photographic Prints

Traditional color photographic prints, created using Chromira printer technology on Fujiflex Crystal Archive Supergloss paper. This archival, silver-based, light-sensitive paper is exposed with LED light and then developed using conventional photographic chemistry. The result is a real photograph with the archival quality of traditional color photographic prints. These prints have rich, vibrant colors, deep blacks, and incredible shadow detail, with an appearance similar to the traditional Cibachrome/Ilfochrome processes.

Black and white images are printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308. This is a smooth bright paper with 100% rag content, which makes it highly archival. The Photo Rag picks up every detail captured in the photograph and presents an impressive gradation of blacks, grays, and whites. This is a premium matte paper with a luxurious appearance that does justice to the black and white form.

Acrylic Face-Mounts

Acrylic face-mounted photographs have a vibrance and depth without equal. The face of the fine art print is mounted to a crystal clear, anti-glare, UV resistant acrylic sheet. The assembly is backed by an aluminum composite Dibond backer. These are ready-to-hang, with an aluminum subframe that floats the image from the wall. Paired with the Fujiflex Supergloss paper, these face-mounts are absolutely stunning, and the artist’s favorite method for display.

Please contact me if you are interested in ordering my work. I offer both limited edition and open editions of many photographs.

Fine art prints are shipped flat in a box or rolled in a tube, depending on the size and medium of the work.  All works are available internationally.
